Description: Students researched various aspects of their states, and then drew pictures and wrote about these aspects. These were then made into books, and were also scanned in and made into a powerpoint presentation, which the students then narrated after writing their own narration speeches.
Description: This exercise will help students identify and present textual evidence when responding to a short answer question. It will prompt students to circle, underline, highlight, and/or take notes as they look for evidence in a text. Area of focus: the tone of a poem. Appropriate for middle school students.
