LearntobeHealthy.org is an educational site created by the Susan P. Byrnes Health Education Center, in York, PA. The online health science site is designed to help educators and parents communicate important health concepts to students. The site is a portal leading to five distinct sites: for educators, kids in grades K – 6, teens in grades 7 – 12, families/community organizations and an online store. LearntobeHealthy.org contains comprehensive lesson plans, interactive games and activities, webquests and more. The goal of the site is to inspire students – and their families – to make healthy choices that will last a lifetime.

Susan P. Byrnes Health Education Center

The Susan P. Byrnes Health Education Center was created through the conviction that education is the key to a healthier community. The Byrnes Health Education Center is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to keeping people WELL! With a mission to educate and inspire people of all ages to make healthy choices, the Center has reached over 5 million people around the globe with its fun, dynamic and interactive programs. Programs are conducted in the facility in York, PA, through outreach programs to regional schools and businesses and through the Internet at www.LearntobeHealthy.org

Highmark Healthy High 5

LearntobeHealthy.org is made possible through funding provided by Highmark Healthy High 5, which is a five-year, $100 million children’s health promotion initiative of the Highmark Foundation aimed to reverse the current trends in children's health and to promote lifelong healthy habits in children throughout its 49-county service area. Highmark Healthy High 5 will address five critical children's health issues including nutrition, physical activity, self-esteem, grieving and bullying — through education, communications, volunteerism, grants and programming.
