Dear Colleagues / Friends / Partners:
I am working on my second web-course of English for kids – English with Friends. The first course is called English with Alex.
The idea was given to me by parents who had not known English (or had known it a little) but wanted to help their kids with learning it. They asked me to record my comments to the books I used teaching their kids. I did it and since then I have been using these CDs (English with Alex) a lot (and even some of my colleagues use them).
There is nothing special in the course and I have not invented anything BUT when you take a good text book of English for kids (by Cambridge or Oxford …) you have to explain a lot in Russian (especially at lower levels of studying). So life itself helped me with the format of the course. Each lesson consists of:
1. Video part is a movie with some grammar.
2. Text with some exercises.
3. Audio part with my general and grammar comments for kids and their parents.
You can download any part on your ipod, iphone, cell phone, MP3 player etc. and study not at home only but when you travel or when you are on holiday etc.
I would highly appreciate if some of you could be a consultant of the course and wrote some words about it!
