Presentation at Martin Luther King, Jr. MS in Germantown, MD. Claude Kacser is a professor Emeritus in the Physics Department at University of Maryland. He was born in 1934 as Claus Katchum in Paris, France where he lived in until 1935 when the family moved to Vienna, Austria. 1936 at the age of 2 and half he moved with his family to England. Fearing a German invasion of England his mother arranged for transport to a distant relative in America in 1940 at age 6 and a half. He was able to return to his family in 1945.
