Using this lesson and song I model for my students how feelings come and go just like clouds. Being able to name your emotions helps you manage them, which is a critical life skill. Our class uses colored unifix cubes to help visually express different emotions to each other. For example, yellow for happy, blue for sad, red for anger, etc. I also encourage students to still verbally say what they are feeling in addition to the use of the cube.
