Fall has arrived, and it’s time to celebrate all this wonderful season has to offer … football, changing colors, pumpkin spice lattes, and of course migration! Birds, butterflies, and insects are making their epic journeys across the USA (and beyond) as they traverse from their northern summer breeding grounds to their southern winter feeding grounds. DYK -- these migratory creatures travel along the same routes year after year. Just like humans travel on the highway, birds and other migratory creatures travel on the flyway!
A big shout out and thank you to the students of Madison Elementary in Cedar Rapids, IA, for the inspiration to channel Tom Cochrane’s feel-good, rock-n-roll road-trip-kind-of-song and make it our own. Without you, “Life Is a Flyway” would be just a twinkle in our eyes!
