Protecting the Antarctic
College and University / Career and Technical Education (CATE) / Law
If you’re here, then you must know that Antarctica is extreme, unforgiving, beautiful, pristine, full of information, and in danger. I might have spent a lot of time listing all of the reasons you should love Earth’s last wilderness, but now I need to call you to action. Now I need to say that all riches must be defended from greedy spectators, and Antarctica is one of those precious jewels of the natural world. There are so many threats that this continent faces every day that are often overshadowed by those that contain within them more controversy. Regardless, there are still issues, and they cannot be argued. Antarctica is combatting pollution, illegal fishing, and all of the risks that come with the presence of human activity. Learn from this video how the very few people who live and work down on the ice are leaving a smaller footprint than every single person in the Northern Hemisphere - and how you can help change that.
