Description: In this video, students are working on creating questions from a non-fiction text. Students were asked to go through a non-fiction text, The Solar System, and create questions to ask their classmates through an online program called Plickers. Prior to this activity, students were given the opportunity to answer questions I had created to hone in on reading comprehension skills learned throughout the year prior to this part of the activity.
Description: These students were reading their SuperSpeed 1000 words to help increase their reading fluency. They had a 1 minute timer set and the objective was to read as many words as possible in 1 minute. They played at least 4 rounds in hopes of passing their goal each round they played.
Description: This 3rd grade student is discussing his thoughts, feelings, ideas, notices, and wonders from the poem Teapots & Quails written by Edward Lear. He is following the Kagan structure, Timed Round Robin in which he was given 1 minute to discuss while the rest of his group listened.
