philosophy of music education

This video is several pictures that depict the most important ideas to my philosophy of music education. I hope to fulfill all of these ideas in my future classroom. This is a variety of pictures and captions set to light and upbeat music that represent key idea and then further goes into depth with more pictures following it. I choose this music because I want students to get the feeling that music is fun and happy, I choose all of these pictures because they accurately describe what I want without words. For instance, creativity is shown, as the right portion of the brain and the "Music is a Treat" slide shows all of the different instances in which you can be creative. Next is the community slide. Each classroom needs some sense of community and working togetherness that will then make it feel like a safe and secure classroom where everyone belongs. Which is then followed by and wrapped up by the studies that show that music students earn higher test scores and can be considered brighter than a student who does not study music.
