The Products of Natural Gas
Once the natural gas and crude oil have been drilled, produced and refined, it can be used in a variety of ways. Today, natural gas helps us heat our homes, cook our food, heat our water and generate electricity. It can also be further processed into products such as propane, butane, and helium. In fact, 7 out of every ten homes use natural gas every day. Refined crude oil can be made into more than 6000 products that we all use every day. In fact, the average person uses three gallons of these refined crude oil products daily.
It is refined into everything from plastics, synthetic fibers, synthetic rubber, Carbon Black, medicines, waxes, cosmetics, natural gas, propane, and fuels. Today, many of these products are recycled and reused into new products. There you have it. A brief explanation on the products which are made from crude oil and natural gas. With continued research and development, we will be able to produce the safest, cleanest, and most efficient, natural energy, all across Ohio.
