Sampling Day 2
Math
There are several ways to take samples of a population effectively. The easiest is a simple random sample where a random digit table selects desired types of values from a certain sampling frame. Stratified sampling does the same after separating the sample into homogeneous groups, then combing the results. Cluster sampling uses heterogeneous groups that act as mini representations of the total population. Multistage sampling uses one or more of these methods. Stratified sampling most often gives the most accurate representation.
