SDAIE EL Strategies - Pairs Check

Cooperative student pairs wok on drill and practice activities. Students have worksheets. One student answers the first question while a second student acts as the coach. after the coach is satisfied that the answer is correct, then roles are reversed. Then this pair can check with another pair on the team. If all agree, then the process continues. EL students respond well to this strategy that allows non-intimidating one-on-one sharing and builds self-esteem while learning.
