I decided in my senior year of high school that I wanted to be a teacher. I would like to be a teacher for young children because I feel I have a lot to offer for kids and I feel that I could give them so many opportunities to have fun but learn at the same time. The aspects of my childhood education was the teachers I had ones who were boring and I didn't enjoy the class and I don't want to do this for any children. I want to teach because I want my classroom to be fun and exciting and I feel as an educator I could give that to children. When I was in classes other times it was a type of class where I would move around and get the kids to be active such as physical exercise, musical instruments, blocks, etc. Some characteristics that I have as a person that would make me a good teacher is, I am very outgoing and I’m willing to give my all to keep children safe and secure. I am a very active person. This is important in Early Childhood Education because, Children are basically a ball of energy and always running around. I am able to take all that energy and use it to educate and give knowledge to children and help them enjoy school as much as possible. What drew me to this field were my love for children and my love to educate, I have always wanted to be a leader in everything that I do and I feel as a teacher I have that advantage. I currently work at Sayre Child Center where, I am a Teacher’s Aide. My professional goals would be I want to be able to put an all new look on teaching and make it my own way of looking at early childhood education. I can see myself teaching all grades of elementary if I ever have the chance and I want to make an impact on the minds of younger children.
