Description: You can use active inspire to record a video of what is being shown on your computer or Promethean board.
I mainly use this to record solutions, student work, or to provide instructions on a how to video.
If you wanted to use the sound recording feature, and your computer does not have a built in mic, then you will need a microphone.
Description: You can import a PDF into active inspire. This is great for worksheets and class sheets that you are doing in class. You can write on the document and interact with it easier than annotating. You can also save your work and share your flipcharts with your students. This will allow your students to then view the flipcharts on their electronic devices.
Description: The Snipping Tool allows you to take screen shots, or snips of what is on your computer screen. You can then paste these images into other documents. It’s a great resource for making worksheets, tests, or quizzes.
Description: Saving your active inspire flipchart as a pdf will allow your students to access your flipcharts outside of the classroom. This will allow you to post your flipcharts as a pdf to your website, or email to students who are absent. Students can also view your flip charts on other devices such as PC, MAC, iPhone, Android, etc.
Description: A QR ("quick response") code is a square barcode that makes getting URLs, Youtube videos, location coordinates, text or contact information onto a phone quickly. With a barcode scanner app installed, your students/parents just point your phone's camera at the code to read its contents. It will direct them to the URL, video, text, etc from the app.
