Increasing Student Engagement in ASL

This presentation is in response to action research I conducted in my classroom in regard to cell phone use in class. Because I teach my American Sign Language class by using the target language only, students can't afford to look away and play with their phones. From the study, I came up with a plan on engaging students by using technology (they are using Chromebooks in the example, but there is an app for canvas where they can use their phones). This presentation will show you how myself and a colleague created sign pals with our ASL students
