This is a lesson I taught during my 1st Grade student teaching. It was a multi-day lesson about how parents (humans and animals) provide and take care of their children. The skill of the lesson we were focusing on was main idea and details, and I taught the students how to organize their ideas onto a bubble map prior to writing about the given topic.
