In this read aloud basic reading strategies such as picture book walk, how to use picture clues, repetitive text and rhyming patterns are modeled. The reading focus is on making predictions and problem/solution. A FREE activity is no longer available. However, the teacher can take a sheet of paper, fold it in half, and write problem and solution as headings. Students are to draw an illustration showcasing the problem and solution in the story. Allow students the opportunity to examine the book to help with creating their illustrations.
