This episode is about products and multiplication considered from the cognitive perspective. Products are a way of combining two distinct ways of thinking: repetition of a unit together with the nested intensity (or value) inside of it. Products combine therefore smaller scale of the unit with the larger scale of its repetition. Just like all other videos in this series, this episode is about cognitive patterns which are more general than mathematical concepts. The cognitive schemas reflect the everyday use of human concepts. These rudimentary patterns constitute the basic building blocks of more complex expressions such as those found in language, mathematics and science in general. The ideas in this video come from a book published in 2014 under a title CONCEPTUAL UNDERSTRUCTURE OF HUMAN EXPERIENCE which could be purchased from AMAZON.
