Inquiry: How will using student data folders to track progress affect the math performance and confidence of my fifth grade students? This year I wanted to put students in charge of tracking their own learning and data. I decided to use individual student data tracking folders. Students monitor their own growth and progress using standards based assessments, rate and date their learning using Marzano’s levels of understanding, and keep track of “I can” statements as they progress through the Florida Standards.
