This video is a picture book read aloud by the author. My mother used to say "Every culture has a pierogi", meaning that every culture has a food item that is a dough pocket filled with sweet or savory items. This read aloud picture book covers some of the "pierogies" found throughout the world (ravioli, potstickers, empanadas, etc.) It also goes over the different ways to say grandmother in other languages (abuela, nonna, oma, etc.) The book shows children that we are individuals, but we also have so much in common.
