This video clip shows the interventionist administering page 1 of the Autism Social Skills Profile (ASSP – a social skill intervention planning tool) to a 13 year old male student who has Asperger’s Syndrome (the student’s voice can be heard, but he is not shown in this video clip due to privacy issues). The interventionist chose to administer the first page of the ASSP directly to this student in an attempt to gain direct feedback from him in regards to how he views his present social skill abilities, in particular, how he views his perspective taking abilities. The interventionist previously administered the ASSP to the student’s parents in order to procure their feedback in regards to their perspective on the potential social skill deficit areas that this student may presently demonstrate. Feedback from both interviews were compared and contrasted in order to come up with the top three social skill deficit areas that are considered to be this student’s most deficient social skill areas.
