Positive Parent Contacts

“2 to 1 Positive won!” I discovered this process one Friday night while making calls for several discipline problems. I had made many negative calls and honestly, I felt pretty discouraged. I sat back in my chair and considered what I could do to get out of the funk of negativity. I then thought about all the good students that I look forward to seeing every day. I thought, I am going to contact some of those parents and let them know how much I enjoy their children being in my class. Yes, that is what I will do! I will make two positive contacts to every negative one I make. I started speaking to parents and lifting their children up. My mood seemed to lift as I was lifting the moods of others. I came out of school feeling like a champ!
