The Ship DRA Level 2 Read Aloud

The Ship is a DRA Level 2. In this read aloud, Mrs. Nichols completes a partial book walk, because the children will be required to make a prediction about how the characters in the story solve their problem. The focus of this lesson is to teach the basics of using problem and solution to understand the plot of a story. In addition, children are shown the importance of using picture clues, repetition, counting the number of words on a page, and sounding out words.
